On October 17 and 18, 2024, a major symposium was held in Banyuls-sur-Mer (Pyrénées-Orientales). The theme was "Les Passeurs et les évadés durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale" ("Smugglers and escapees during the Second World War"). A total of 16 contributors contributed to renewing the history and historiography of escape networks to Spain and the diplomatic stakes involved. The event was well attended, with 245 participants.
